JT Machinima came into fruition by chance and the story of its inception is a pretty unremarkable one.
One day Skullkruncher13 and Patfan8326 decided to make a Halo 3 Rap just for fun. Three weeks
later, The Greatest Ever was finished and on YouTube receiving many kudos. Pat then uploaded the
video onto Machinima.com and went on his way without a second thought.
A few days later classmates at school were telling Skull how his they saw his rap and were impressed
with how it had 40,000 views. Skull was puzzled and rose the question to Pat. They later dug around
and found out Machinima.com had uploaded their Rap onto Machinima's YouTube channel.
It was a welcome surprise that came out of nowhere. From this success Pat and Skull started
planning more and more raps. Their next one would be about Call of Duty World at War.
This would be the rap that would put them over the edge and solidify Patfan8326 and Skullkruncher13 in the Machinima scene. Upon uploading the WaW Rap to Machinima, Pat and Skull were offered a contract with Machinima.com. Soon following this, the duo was contacted by the Treyarch community manager at the time, Josh Olin. Josh shared how the Treyarch developement team dug the rap and would be sending a 'care package' to Pat and Skull.
From here it was realized the duo needed a name. Thus JT Machinima was created in February of 2009. The JT originates from the first letter from patfan's and skullkruncher's names; John and Timothy.
