Arcana Coelestia was born in summer 2005. After a rough demo the band decided to record again the songs for a full-lenght album named Ubi Secreta Colunt (Where Secrets Dwells) released by Aeternitas Tenebrarum Music Foundation on winter 2006. Arcana Coelestia, also connected with Urna and Locus Mortis, propose an atmosferic doom dense of melancholy and dark feelings that fades into tragic forms to hallucinated states of mind. The concept tells about the life of the swedish writter August Strindberg and his biographical romance "Inferno" ; His life passed from the literary glory by the fame to the pure ingenious madness where he gived up his literary prospective to accomplish the way of alchemy. In this tormented period of him he had mystical visions regarding the prophecies of his spiritual tutor Emanuel Swedenborg (1688-1772), founded in the esoteric scripts called Arcana Coelestia. Strindberg personality today glowes of a cursed aura and his works still remain closed in a limbo, like permeated from the cursed existence which tormented himself during his life. The last work "Le Mirage de L'Ideal" has been released on April 2009 with the presence of Sephrenel (bass) and Thorns (drums), like the previous album, the scenario is developed upon the so called Romantic period, mid XIV Century, but this time the concept was more focused into Decadentism current inspired by the Baudelarian poetry. Le Mirage de L'Ideal for the band represents a step forward into more hallucinatory and dramatic soundscapes than to the debut album with more contamination with Black Metal, Funeral Doom, Kosmische Musik and Classical music.
