JJ Lin Jun Jie 林俊杰 is a young and new talented male artist from Singapore. His expertise is on the keyboard and guitar. When JJ sits in front of the keyboard, he is able to compose a great melody within a few minutes.
JJ has been very popular as he has just released his 4th album called Cao Cao 曹操 which contains many great songs.
Before he became a star, JJ participated in many of the singing competitions and won prizes. He was also the guest performer in A Du’s live tour concert. He played the guitar and sang the song Bu Dong 不懂 (the original song of A-Mei’s Ji De 记得), and immediately attracted many people’s attention.
Later, he helped to compose songs for other singers including Ji De 记得 for A-Mei, Yi Ge Ren Zhu 一个人住, Fang Shou 放手 and Xiao Shuo 小说 for A Du, Where Did You Go for Wu Ke Qun 吴克群, Dang Ni 当你 and Ming Tian Jian 明天见 for Cyndi Wang Xin Lin 王心凌 and many more.
In April 2003, JJ finally released his first album called Yue Xing Zhe 乐行者. All the songs inside this album were composed by JJ himself! Jiu Shi Wo 就是我, Hui Du Shu 会读书, Chi Bang 翅膀 and Bu Dong 不懂 are songs which are highly recommended.
A year later, in May 2004, JJ released his second album titled Di Er Tian Tang 第二天堂 that made him well known to all. Jiang Nan 江南 and Dou Jiang You Tiao 豆浆油条 are 2 of the popular songs from this album. Many people will choose those 2 songs for karaoke. Zi Dan Lie Che 子弹列车, which is a fast track, was written by the famous Fang Wen Shan 方文山 (you can find his work in every Jay Chow’s album). Besides those 3 songs, there are other songs like Hai Pa 害怕, Jing Ling 精灵 and Ju Li 距离 that are great to listen to.
In that same year, JJ won the Best New Artist award at the Taiwan Golden Melody Awards.
Bian Hao 编号 89757 is JJ’s 3rd album, released in April 2005. Bian Hao 编号 89757 is actually the number of a particular robot in the future world, in the year of 3005 or one thousand year later (title for one of the song in this album, Yi Qian Nian Yi Hou 一千年以后).
In JJ’s imagination, he is the robot and he used this perception to see today’s world and lives.
